Chances is Seven Teller’s first ever self-produced, self-mixed studio recording, set to release on June 6th. The song is driven by crafty lyrics and synthy rhythms that were made to be danced to, with sounds reminiscent of LCD Soundsystem, Talking Heads, and MGMT that sit apart from the classic jam-style music that Seven Teller has been known for. In a world of political uncertainty, this light-hearted yet powerful song is symbolic of the age we live in, and reminds the listener to appreciate the time they have left. Chances is just the introduction to a new era of Seven Teller.

In support of their new single, the band is going on tour this summer across the country, releasing more music, and hosting their third festival, Tellerfest, in Baltimore on September 27th.

About the band:

Seven Teller is the art-rock brainchild of Baltimore musician and songwriter Sam Cochran, who started the project in 2020. A blend of funk, dance, and indie music nourishes the band’s unique, immersive sound. During live performances, the group improvises between songs by adding psychedelic textures on top of fun, upbeat rhythms. Their devoted fanbase, called the “Teller Family,” travels hours to concerts, inspiring the band to make each night feel more spontaneous and special than the last. There are moments when the whole room becomes connected and the separation between band and audience disappears. Moments like these are what the band strives for.
