OUR VAN BROKE / GOFUNDME
I’m late to sending this to you guys on the mailing list!
We just drove from Colorado to North Carolina on tour and my van broke down! I had to get a rental car for the week, so we could play this weekend and get back home to Maryland. I’m hoping to recoup some of these costs.
I have to go back to NC from Maryland next week to get my van and continue touring, and also for my own personal use (driving to work etc). I just talked to the mechanic and we are 6K down the hole for repairs and rental. Any extra money we raise is just going to funding the rest of tour or some extra repairs on the van. We have only played about 15 of the 50ish scheduled from Feb-May
I posted the fundraiser on GoFundMe and social media yesterday, and we have already raised $4K!!! So we are in an alright spot, but as it stands I cannot afford the remaining $2000 +
Even though this sucks for me I have no doubt it will all work out. It could be so much worse. I may have to make more sacrifices. Also, the world is extremely chaotic right now and many people don’t have money; I feel like an imposter even asking for money.
So if you decide not to support or share this fundraiser, I support you in that. There are many things you could support instead if you’re able
If you do decide to support or share this, just know you are supporting me, the individual bandmates, and you’re supporting a small piece of live music. Live music is very important in a chaotic world.
